If something looks wrong, a screenshot helps a lot. Tell us the stage number too (it's at the top of the screen) and which iPhone you have.

Questions people ask

How do I play?

Tap a peg, then tap another, and the two swap places, taking their bands with them. A spark shows wherever two bands cross. Clear every spark and the stage is solved. Changed your mind? Tap the picked peg again, or an empty spot.

How do stars work?

Every stage has a par: the fewest swaps our solver found. Solve it in par or fewer for three stars, within a quarter over par for two, and any solve earns one. You can replay a stage whenever you like to earn more.

What does Reshuffle do?

It deals the stage again, free, as often as you like: the same puzzle, mirrored and with its colours turned round, back at 0 moves. Use it when you're stuck, or for another go at three stars. There's no undo, so swapping two pegs back counts as a move too.

I bought the Full Game. How do I get it back on a new iPhone, or after reinstalling?

Open LoopLoose, tap Settings (the gear on the title screen) and tap Restore purchase. You'll also find Restore purchase on the screen that offers the Full Game. It's free, and it works with the Apple Account you bought it with.

Can my family play the Full Game too?

Yes. Family Sharing is on for the Full Game, so if you share purchases with your family group, they get it too, at no extra cost. If it doesn't show up straight away, they can tap Restore purchase in Settings.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles every payment, so refunds go through Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account and choose the Full Game. We can't refund it ourselves, but if something isn't working, write to us first: we'd love the chance to fix it.

Why did my board turn into skulls and bones?

It's Halloween! From 21 October to 10 November every board wears Bone Yard, the Halloween theme, for every player, with spooky sounds to match. Your own theme comes back on 11 November. Christmas brings Candy Cane Lane (15 December to 4 January), and Valentine's brings Sweethearts (4 to 24 February).

A seasonal theme can't be switched off during its season, but if you pick a theme in Themes, it's waiting for you when the season ends. Earn a seasonal theme with stars and you can use it all year.

How do I turn the sound or the music off?

Tap Sound on the title screen to mute everything at once. Or open Settings for separate switches for Sound effects, Music and Haptics. LoopLoose stays quiet when your iPhone is in silent mode, and its music steps aside while you're playing your own.

Is my progress saved?

Yes, on your iPhone, every time you solve a stage. There's no account and nothing is kept online, so deleting the app deletes your stars and badges. The Full Game is never lost, though: Restore purchase brings it back.

Does LoopLoose collect any data?

No. Nothing you do in the game leaves your iPhone. Purchases go through Apple, sharing a badge uses your iPhone's own share sheet, and Save to Photos can only add a picture: it can't see your photos. The privacy page has the details.

Does it work offline?

Yes, all of it. You only need a connection to buy the Full Game or restore it.
