About

Hello! This is LoopLoose

The LoopLoose icon: an orange band and a purple band crossing on cream pegs, with a white spark where they cross.

LoopLoose is a puzzle game for iPhone about rubber bands. They're stretched round pegs, all tangled up, and your job is to set every loop free.

The idea

Remember geoboards? A board of pegs and a handful of coloured rubber bands, stretched into shapes. LoopLoose starts there, then tangles them up. Tap one peg, tap another, and the two swap places, taking their bands with them. When no two bands cross, every loop springs loose.

It's a calm game. There's no timer and there are no lives, so you can sit and look for as long as you like. It's a juicy one too: bands twang when their pegs move, sparks burst as crossings clear, and a good solve ends in confetti.

What's inside

  • 250 stages in eight worlds, from a sunny Breeze to Midnight, each with its own sky and its own music. Boards grow from two little loops to 36 pegs.
  • Every stage is built backwards from a solved board, so it always has a solution, and a solver works out its par.
  • 19 themes to unlock with stars, plus Classic, and seasonal themes for everyone at Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's.
  • 35 badges to earn, and to share or save to Photos.
  • No timers, no ads and no account, and it all works offline.

Free to try, once to buy

The first 10 stages are free, for good. One purchase, the Full Game, unlocks the other 240, and it works with Family Sharing. There are no ads and nothing else to buy, and the game collects nothing about you: the privacy page has the details.

Made in code

Everything you see and hear in LoopLoose is made by code. The pegs, the bands, the sparks and all 20 themes are drawn by the app itself, so there are no picture files on the board. Every sound effect and every note of the music is synthesized on your iPhone as you play, so there are no recordings either. Even the icon and the logo were rendered by code.
